Adult Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant Center
Ege University Adult Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant Center provides its services in a sterilized environment with hepafilter system conforming to international standards. We have been worked with well experienced physicians, nurses and other stuffs since 1996. Having the advantage of all the necessary disciplines within Ege University, essential support is provided by all relevant branches such as intensive care unit, general and pediatric surgery, cardiology, nephrology and other departments multydisciplinarly. Transplanted stem cells are prepared in licensed GMP laboratory of Ege University. All cells are checked for vitality, count and activity prior to the transplantation procedure.
•Both related and unrelated transplantation are performed
•Donors of unrelated transplantation can easly be found from local pool of the our country as well as the other countries of all over the World.
• Haploidentical transplants are performed by both alpha-beta T-cell depletion and posttransplant immunosupresant agents to reduce the lethal complication of Graft versus host disease to avoid complications.
• CD19 positive cells are depleted to avoid lethal Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) infection as well as lethal lymphoproliferative disease after transplantation.

FİLİZ VURAL, MD, graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of English Medicine in 1991. She completed her Internal Medicine specialization in 1997 at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. In 2002, by completing her Hematology specialty, she started working in the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation Unit of Ege University Faculty of Medicine as consultant Hematologist. Dr Filiz Vural gained the title of an associate professor doctor in 2008 and a professor doctor in 2015. Since 2012, she has been working as a Head of the Adult Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation Unit of Ege University. She carries out more than 100 successful autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants together with her experienced team each year in the technologically and medically well equipped Transplantation Unit.
